Brief moment on art

The main problem is to define what art is the fact that this definition varies over time and in accordance with various human cultures. We must therefore bear in mind that the very definition of art is a variable and not constant cultural meaning construction. Even in the same time and in the same culture can be multiple meanings of what art is. You also need to remember that much of what we now call art was not or is not considered as such by cultures different from our own, who produced, and the reverse is also true: some cultures may produce art objects that we do not recognize as such . The pre-industrial societies in general have no or even possessed a term for art.

In a very simplified view, the art is mainly linked to one or more of the following:
the manifestation of some special skill,
the artificial creation of something by man;
triggering some kind of response in humans, as the sense of pleasure or beauty;
the presentation of some kind of order, pattern or harmony;
transmitting a sense of newness and innovation;
the expression of the inner reality of the creator;
communication something in the form of a special language;
the notion of value and importance;
the excitement of imagination and fantasy;
induction or communication of a peak experience;
things that are known to possess a sense;
things that give an answer to a given problem.
At the same time, even if a given activity is considered art in general, there is much inconsistency and subjectivity in the application of the term. For example, it is customary among Westerners call the art of operatic singing, but singing nonchalantly as work is often not seen as art. There may, therefore, a number of other parameters which employ cultures to separate the art consider that they do not consider.

Even if one can establish general parameters consensually valid, the analysis of each case can be extraordinarily complex and inconsistent. In a geographical context, the Western culture calls the opera art, possibly a non-Western culture would consider that kind of weird corner. In historical perspective, often an artistic object considered at a particular time can be considered non-artistic in another.
